Padgett Museum CLOSING for the Winter!

The Padgett Museum operated by the Floyd County Historical Society, located at 509 West Market Street, New Albany, Indiana, will close December 11th!

Last chance (1-3pm Dec 11 th) to view the permanent exhibits and artifacts from The White House, New Albany's Dept. Store are on display.
Please stop by and rekindle your interest in our great city and county.  Admission is free.
Masks and/or Vaccinations are highly recommended.

We applied to Subaru Indiana for a grant to finish the tuck pointing.
The application was declined, with an invitation to try again during the next cycle.

Any ideas about raising the funds to complete the stabilization of the building?

Our Community 2021 $$$

This is Our Community is given to all third graders in the county and is used to satisfy the Indiana History course requirement for all students in private, parochial, and public schools.

The 2021 version has been distributed to the schools!  Above all, we need donations to cover printing costs.  Editorial comments are welcome.

Develop New Albany Christmas Ornaments

Develop New Albany, the City's non-profit, Main Street organization, has announced the availability of the new solid pewter holiday ornament featuring the historic Graf-Conner Building (New Albany City Hall)!
The building is the 15th in an annual series of landmark buildings in New Albany to be featured.

The new ornament, and previous year ornaments, can be found throughout the season at the following downtown and uptown establishments: Mariposa; Regalo; Antique Attic; House of K; Dress & Dwell; Schmitt Furniture; Him & Her Boutique and Strandz & Threadz. The ornaments will also be sold at the Downtown New Albany Farmers Market: Wednesdays from 6pm - 8pm and Saturdays from 10am - 12noon

January MEETING

Bob Sterrett will expose some of the people hiding in his family tree.
Come prepared to share stories of your own illustrious ancesters.
Thursday, January 6th, 6:30pm   in the Elsa Strassweg Auditorium, of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library
at 180 West Spring Street.

Masks and/or Vaccinations are highly recommended.

A meet and greet will begin at 6:15 in the auditorium at the New Albany Library.
Refreshments will be served in the Library!
